Coastline Challenge updates 30/05/2017 Pease share it with your family and friends and leave a comment.

This year i will attempt to Hand cycle the coastline of the UK 2,500 miles in 27 days starting on the 02nd July from Brighton Pier. This has never been attempted before by any disabled cyclist.

Why I decided to do this challenge.

This question has been asked of me many times, why is a disabled person taking on such a challenge of cause it is important to show that even with a disability that your life does not have to stop because of your disability. So part of this challenge is to show what can be achieved disabled or able if you put your mind to it.

Why it is important to me.

I am passionate about saving our oceans. I am a huge animal lover and i like many others who are very concerned about the health of our oceans. It has been said if our oceans die, we die. It’s time to save our oceans. I am on a mission to inspire children across the UK to the beauty and vulnerability of threatened marine species. Through this challenge I hope the UK will share my passion and be inspired to act before it is too late.

Why this petition is important to me.

I will hand over this petition to the UK Government, if i get 100,000 signatures then it will be debated in parliament for more education in our schools on climate change, plastic in our oceans, pollution in our seas, and to end the barbaric crimes committed all over the world to our marine species. Children hear about climate change discussed in the news as a very real threat, but it is largely absent from school science curricula. In fact, most children the world over don’t receive any formal academic reasoning to put the vast amount of information and opinions into context, and they have no credible outlet to ask their own questions. It’s time to teach climate change along with plastic in our oceans and the demise of marine species all over the world in our schools.

I will also be raising Funds for 3 of my favourite charities (Sea Shepherds) (SIA Spinal Injury Association) and (The Cycling Project)

Many Thanks Rob
